Mountpottinger Presbyterian Church

These photos show the redressed stone to show the original lettering that had delaminated over the years.

The gable wall in the photo had been plastered with a cement based render.  This dense render was incompatible with the softer brickwork and resulted in severe damp issues within the church hall.  All render was carefully stripped back and the exposed brickwork was cleaned using the Rotec Abrasive Cleaning System.  Repointing was completed to the gable wall and a waterproofing, breathable clear coating was then applied.

The old Lecture Hall stone had decayed considerably on the opposite game wall.  The stone was dressed back, cracks repaired and new lettering cut into the stone to match the original.
